Cockpit
Cockpit is a
contemporary hybrid, a meeting of two brands, two imaginations, two industrial
philosophies to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Ferrari. The cockpit is a
place where concentration, quick reflexes and intuition combine with the will
to win. The Cockpit is
an office chair that captures the excitement, speed and dynamism of the
driver’s seat. It manages to convey the gratifying perception of the way the
driver’s movements and posture are supported by the backrest and seat. The
Cockpit chair is available in two versions, President and Executive. Both
include a reclining base and seat, along with two different backrests. Cockpit
President is the managerial model with a high backrest that offers generous
support for the top half of the body and is inspired by the ergonomics of
competitive racing seats. The Cockpit Executive model, a chair that adapts to
all work situations, has a deliberately low and narrow backrest to ensure
freedom of movement. The central band on the seat takes its cue from the racing
seats. The materials are the same as those used in Ferrari cars. The external
shell is moulded from carbon. Poltrona Frau has concentrated all its ergonomic
knowhow into the mechanism used to adjust the position of the backrest and the
height of the seat. The swivel device sports the same design and mechanical
elements as the steering wheel, the five-spoke base comes in two finishes:
polished aluminium or aluminium with matt racing grey powder paint finish. For
the leather upholstery, the Ferrari Design Centre team has chosen shades and
finishes inspired by the trims of the three Tailor-Made service lines, which
allow for the car's customised configuration: Scuderia and Inedita. The Cockpit
chair can also be customised in terms of its colours and materials.
