Cassina presents its first collection of lamps designed to enhance and complete its outdoor living and dining environments. Dialoguing harmoniously with the context and the new products designed by Philippe Starck, Rodolfo Dordoni and Patricia Urquiola, as well as with the new outdoor versions of iconic Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand masterpieces, three models from the indoor collection are reinterpreted to create simple and versatile solutions for furnishing open air spaces. Combining the Venetian blown glass tradition and the most advanced technology in the area of new light sources and the most resistant materials, the lamps, both floor and pendant, are the synthesis of painstaking research into pure and ancestral forms, which blend together in a post-modern style transported into the present.

Bollicosa Nautilus has the same blown glass sphere as the Bollicosa indoor with the distinctive bubbly surface caused by the artisan blowing process; the natural irregularities make the material rough and matt and imbue it with a 3D quality that gives it the appearance of a fossilised stone to the naked eye. The outdoor version envelopes the diffuser with a neutral-coloured polypropylene cord net, with knots in contrasting colours, which recalls the hand weaves of the furniture in the Cassina outdoor collection. In two sizes, ∅ 30 cm or ∅ 50 cm, with fumé transparent glass with green knots, or pink with rust-coloured knots.

Ficupala Outdoor is a versatile and functional lamp. With its eclectic style, somewhere between post-modern and art deco, it recalls the soft forms of nature with the delicate curves of the blown glass, here characterised by its processed and textural surface. Like a lantern, it can be positioned as desired thanks to its hi-tech soul: a rechargeable LED with USB cable. Available in a single size with fumé transparent glass and iroko wood handle.

Singapore Sling recalls the elegant atmospheres of early 20th century colonial oriental drawing rooms and its characteristic shape, inspired by juicy exotic fruits, is obtained from blown glass with fine diamond pattern. Sporting an elegant blend of tradition and innovation, the lamp is portable thanks to the rechargeable LED with USB cable. Available in a single size with fumé transparent glass and iroko wood handle.
