Plate Table
In keeping with Jasper Morrison's philosophy of 'super
normal' design, his Plate Tables are characterised by an unassuming, classic
shape and finely balanced proportions. Available in different sizes, the tables
derive their charm from the successful interplay of subtle curves and precisely
defined edges. The refined base and the thin table top in premium solid wood,
marble or powder-coated MDF form a harmonious whole, yet are clearly distinct
from each other.
The dimensions of the Plate Tables are coordinated so
that several tables can be grouped together to form a large surface area or to
create diverse arrangements. This flexibility offers ideal solutions in regard
to both size and shape for the requirements of different interiors or for
unusual sofa configurations.

Jasper Morrison |
Known for thinking outside the box, Jasper Morrison is one of the most
successful industrial designers of the past few decades. Together with his
colleague Naoto Fukasawa, he defined the term 'super normal', which in his
opinion answers the question of what 'good design' should really be. In his
work, he strives to create good examples of understated, useful and responsible
design. Morrison has developed several projects in collaboration with Vitra,
including the APC, the Soft Modular Sofa and the HAL chair family. His designs
are represented in New York's Museum of Modern Art and other prominent museum
collections around the world. |
