Super Fold Table
Museums, galleries, restaurants and similar
institutions often require versatile tables that can be used in a variety of
settings. Since such facilities tend to have limited storage space, a table
type is needed that can be quickly and compactly stowed away and just as easily
set up again. These needs are fulfilled to perfection by the Super Fold Table,
making it an ideal choice for all meeting, event and food service locations
where flexibility is key and furnishings are frequently rearranged in different
layouts.
The Super Fold Table folds up completely with a
single movement of the hand. The mechanism not only tilts the table top into a
vertical position but also simultaneously rotates and aligns the legs of the
four-star base so that the whole table is reduced to a single plane just a few
centimetres deep. The folding mechanism is activated by pulling on a recessed
grip under the table top. The grip is easy to locate, thanks to a screw that
discreetly marks its position on the corresponding side of the supporting
column. Once folded, the recessed grip serves as a carrying handle, making it
possible to transport the Super Fold Table with one hand.
The Super Fold Table is available in both
sitting and standing height.

Jasper Morrison |
Known for thinking outside the box, Jasper Morrison is one of the most
successful industrial designers of the past few decades. Together with his
colleague Naoto Fukasawa, he defined the term 'super normal', which in his
opinion answers the question of what 'good design' should really be. In his
work, he strives to create good examples of understated, useful and responsible
design. Morrison has developed several projects in collaboration with Vitra,
including the APC, the Soft Modular Sofa and the HAL chair family. His designs
are represented in New York's Museum of Modern Art and other prominent museum
collections around the world. |
