Virgil Abloh, a visionary of contemporary culture, worked side by side with Cassina to envision Modular Imagination, a unique project that both questions and develops the design implications of modularity. Composed of two different-sized building blocks, Modular Imagination is an open invitation to participate in configurating space and building new worlds. To honour Virgil Abloh, Cassina presents Modular Imagination in an extraordinary installation characterised by the colour orange at its Flagship Store in Milan. The focal point of the set-up is the showroom’s dome where the pieces are displayed in numerous formations. Also, don’t miss the customised trams that travel through the heart of Milan and the invasion of the distinctive ‘Cassina-Abloh’ logos throughout the city. In complete respect of Virgil Abloh’s work, Modular Imagination enters the Cassina catalogue, emphasising the value of this project that does not aim to be a limited drop but attests the quality of his work within the design world. Virgil Abloh was in fact particularly proud of this project that began development in 2020 and was completed before his premature passing. The Cassina Milano installation is open to the public both during Milan Design Week and Men’s Fashion Week and the collection will be available in Cassina stores, on-line marketplaces and a selection of the most renowned fashion and design concept stores throughout the world from this autumn. Modular Imagination is now available on Cassina’s e-commerce platform (in Italy, France, Germany, Austria and Benelux), at Cassina showrooms and at a selection of the most renowned and exclusive fashion and design concept stores, both on and offline, throughout the world. A pouf, a bench, or a table, these articulated compositions are displayed in characteristic installations, distinguished by the colour orange, the leitmotif of this extraordinary project, together with the distinctive 'Cassina-Abloh' round logo.
